Chris Costello is a professional graphic designer, coin and medal designer, illustrator, and typographer. He has created illustrations and custom lettering for clients including Random House, Simon and Schuster, Oxford University Press and HarperCollins. His work for Coldwell Banker consistently received awards for design excellence and has been published in Graphic Design USA awards annuals. Chris has created several original font designs and his popular font, Papyrus, is included with Apple and Microsoft operating systems. His hand-lettering and logo designs also appear in Leslie Cabarga’s hardcover, The Logo, Font & Lettering Bible (HOW Design Books). As a fine artist, he enjoys sculpting in clay and plaster as well as drawing and painting historic architecture, landscapes and portraits.

As a United States Mint Artistic Infusion Program Artist, Chris has submitted drawings to over 45 design programs and was awarded the honor of having his original artwork appear on 23 U.S. coins and medals including one Congressional Gold Medal.

He is also an accomplished bass player and recording musician currently performing with an indie label vocalist and band project.

Chris earned a Bachelor of Science in Graphic Design and Visual Communication from Northeastern University in Boston, MA. He currently serves on the Board of Trustees for the Cyrus Dallin Art Museum in Arlington, MA and the Advisory Board for Middlesex Community College in Bedford, MA.
